Company History

Stephen Gillespie Consultants Ltd (SGC) was established in 1988, initially to provide a software consultancy service to a number of leading flow metering computer system manufacturers.

As SGC grew over a number of years the focus changed from consultancy to design and manufacture. With this change of focus SGC evolved to became a systems integrator providing turnkey flow metering computer systems.

With innovative R&D skills still at the heart of the company, in 1996 SGC announced the launch of Meteor, a PC based flow metering supervisory computer system. Meteor's low cost hardware platform and ease of use proved to be a resounding success.

In 2000 SGC launched Integrator, a PC based flow computer calculation engine. This innovative product was a radical departure from ‘traditional’ metering computer systems design. Integrator could provide a cost effective, near limitless, multi-stream, multi-product flow computing application running on standard PC hardware.

To complete the trio of products, collectively packaged as The MeterNet Solution, MeterNet I/0 was launched in 2005. This unique distributed I/O system provides the specialist field I/O interface required for high accuracy metering applications.

SGC is today considered as one of the world leaders in the design and manufacture of flow metering computer systems, with in excess of 90 systems supplied to the worldwide market place.
